In a significant visit to the Rabigh plant of Zamil Heavy Industries (ZHI), Mr. Yahya A. Abushal, Senior Vice President of Upstream & Downstream Project Management at Aramco, underscored the critical role of the Jafurah and Zulf Gas Projects in meeting the Kingdom’s growing gas demands. Accompanied by Mr. Mathker AlOtaibi, Director Projects, Jafurah Gas Projects DEPT.  Mr. Abushal evaluated the progress of these strategic initiatives that are pivotal to Saudi Aramco’s commitments.

During the visit, which included a comprehensive plant tour, ZHI’s project managers Ijaz Bahsir, Kamardheen Majith, and Engineering Manager Mohammad Salaheldin detailed the development phases and the achieved milestones. Mr. Abushal highlighted the importance of adhering to project timelines, emphasizing that the timely completion of these projects is vital for Saudi Aramco to continue fulfilling its role as a reliable energy supplier.

Mr. Abushal further elaborated on how the Jafurah and Zulf projects align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by enhancing the Kingdom’s energy sustainability and economic diversification. He praised ZHI’s dedication and operational excellence, which contribute to the national agenda of reducing oil dependence and promoting environmental sustainability through increased gas production.

The visit reaffirmed Aramco’s partnership with ZHI, with Mr. Abushal commending the team’s efforts and expressing confidence in ZHI’s capabilities to deliver these projects within the projected timelines, thereby supporting the Kingdom’s strategic energy objectives.
